My Epic Blizzard (aka Nuclear Winter) White IPA just won first place in the Specialty IPA division at a homebrew competition!

I entered a couple of my beers in the Celebrewtion 2018 here homebrew competition in Sacramento. The judging was last Saturday, and they just posted the results. I should get the ribbon in the next couple weeks, and the scorecards will post to the website by Monday.

I wasn't really expecting to win anything in this one, and entered it mainly on a lark at the last minute. I entered 4 brews, but two of them were broken when someone knocked a shelf over at the competition walk-in... But at least two of the brews got judged, and one placed, so not too bad. It's very encouraging for one of my newer recipes to be recognized like this!
