It's brew day! The brew du jour is a second batch of Taupo Eruption Pale Ale, except all grain this time, and with purely New Zealand (erm, New Zedland?) hops. The hops came from Seven Bridges, my erstwhile brewing supply store, until they went out of business... :'(

As usual, I did my brewing at the beach house. It went pretty much perfectly, and by the end of the day I had just over 5 gallons of mostly-chilled wort in a 6-gallon carboy. I took the carboy home in my car, where I pitched the yeast and plopped in the brewometer.

It already looks yummy!
